Acton seniors toured the Haartz Corporation headquarters on Hayward Road on June 26. Visitors were hosted by the company’s executives, who provided a full tour. The well-received tour was arranged by Chris Chirokas, Acton Council on Aging Program Manager. Chirokas arranged two tours to Haartz in June and one in July. Each could accomodate sixteen participants and all three were fully booked.
Visitors learned that if you own a car, Haartz has probably made some part of the dashboard, the door, or both. The company is expanding to include some new products, beyond the auto products that they have produced for over a century. In addition to their world headquarters on Hayward Road, Haartz has locations in China, Germany, India, and Mexico.
