Revs weather Concord-Carlisle barrage, earn 1-1 draw

October 26, 2024

Crisp fall temperatures greeted about eighty fans at Acton-Boxborough’s Lower Turf Field on October 17 as the Revolution high school boys’ soccer team battled Concord-Carlisle. In a match dominated throughout by the Patriots’ aggressive offense, A-B broke the ice on a first-half goal by Tyler Sullivan, assisted by Manas Kontham. Sullivan’s tough-angle shot from about forty yards to the right of the goal found the twine in the net’s top corner. Revs goaltender Kofi Asubonteng kept the opponents at bay until one Patriots’ shot found the net in the second half.

On October 21, the Revs hosted Algonquin at Leary Field, losing 3-1.

James Conboy played in the Acton Adult Softball League for seventeen years, and now plays in the EMASS Senior Softball League.
