April 14, Acton-Boxborough Regional High School: The second inning proved unkind to the home team yesterday, when Dual-County League rival Newton South plated six runners on the strength of six hits, half of their game total, and two stolen bases.

The Revolution came back with two runs in the third, when leadoff hitter Jackson Healy and Kyle Leite drew walks, advanced on two Lions wild pitches, and scored on a Matthew Bromberg single and a ground out.
In the fifth, it was a strange case of deja vu, as Healy again drew a leadoff walk, again advanced on a wild pitch (and a ground out), and again scored on a Bromberg hit, this one a double. But that would be the end of AB’s scoring, as they were blanked in the final two innings. Joining Bromberg in the hit parade were Nick Falcone with two, and one each for Jonathan Schick, Dong-Yi Lee, and Leo Ciccone.

The Revs, now 1-3, played league opponents Westford and Bedford on the 16th and 17th, respectively, and will host non-league Lowell on April 22. [Update provided by a parent: The boys have been on a roll, winning Wednesday’s game against Westford Academy 10-1 and Thursday’s game against Bedford 10-0, in which pitcher Jackson Healy threw a no hitter.]
