A hot summer night, beer, themed cocktails, and piles of brand new books… what could be finer? An annual collaboration between True West Brewery and Silver Unicorn Bookstore, both in West Acton, brings a large selection of books and an outdoor bar to the patio in front of True West.
In addition to books of many genres (romances, non-fiction, anime, and alcohol-related books, just to name a few), two authors were available to discuss and sign their new books. Jo Paquette, who has mostly written books for children under the name Ammi-Joan Paquette, was at the book fair with her first book for adults, Stories I Told My Dead Lover, a set of short horror stories. Ms Paquette said that writing for adults “…feels awesome. You can write for yourself.” Sofia T. Romero was also available with her first published book of short stories, We Have Always Been Who We Are. Throughout the evening, people wandered by to chat with the authors and pick up signed copies of their books.
