Acton Historical Society: Hosmer House Museum Open House

A new Revolutionary War exhibit will be on display in the original part of the house that was standing on April 19, 1775. We will revisit Acton's fateful participation in the events of that day and in the years of war that followed. We will also explore the ways that later generations have kept that history alive.

Acton COA presents: A Journey Through the Roots of American Popular Music Live Performance

This Council on Aging (COA) program blends live performance, storytelling and visuals about the origins of blues, rock and country music presented by singer and songwriter Jon Waterman. In the show, Jon is joined by Li Waterman on bass. Fascinating characters and events that are part of the history and the role of music in our lives will be explored. Jon and Li’s programs are enthusiastically received in Acton. This program is supported by a grant from the Acton-Boxborough Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. Open to all seniors/free

Earth Month: Teen Invasive Plant Brigade

I Hiked Acton’s Trails!

Walk the trails in Acton’s conservation areas with the goal of earning a sticker and a sew-on patch! These weekly walks are a joint effort between Acton Conservation Trust and Acton Conservation Division. We’ll walk a different conservation area weekly, on Wednesdays from April 9 to June 11. The location of each hike will be sent out each Sunday before the walk. Once registered, you can join us whenever it suits you. REGISTER HERE
