Family Christmas gift helps out Acton Food Pantry

February 8, 2025

It’s a family affair! Three generations of the Sharp family delivered much needed groceries and diapers to the Acton Food Pantry. Julie Sharp Verduzco of Acton, with her sons Max and Joey, purchased the items with a gift she had received from her parents, Maura and Kent Sharp. One stipulation of the gift had been that she use part of it to give back to her community.

Chair of the Board of the Acton Food Pantry Loretta Crumlish said the gift to the Pantry was touching in part because it was in loving memory of Sharp’s dad Kent, who recently died. Maura Sharp (Grandma Gigi) joined the family to deliver the items to the pantry. The family took a tour of the pantry, and Joey helped weigh the items and put a few products on the shelves.

“It is so touching to see random acts of kindness passed through the generations,” Crumlish said. “Thank you, Sharp family!”

Loretta Crumlish is chair of the board of the Acton Food Pantry. Amy Davis is board secretary.
