Pop Up Businesses in West Acton This Summer

July 16, 2023

The Town of Acton Economic Development Office and EnergizeActon.org invite you to a Summer “Pop-Up” Small Business Climate Café on Thursday, July 27, 5pm-6pm at the ‘3 Moms & a Pop-Up’ space at 577 Mass Ave in West Acton (next to Middlesex Bank). Join us and check out the Pop-Up retail shops and see how local businesses are taking action on climate.

The West Acton Pop-Up shop features three local women entrepreneurs: The Fluffy Dog Flower Farm, iJewelshop & Girly Girl Soaps offering fresh local organic flowers, jewelry, and natural handmade soaps–sustainably grown, produced, and delivered. The pop-up space is home to local businesses bringing their entrepreneurial endeavors to Acton for the summer season.

Hear the “3 Moms” Pop-Up business owners’ stories about how they are adopting sustainable practices that are good for business and climate. Share your ecological business ideas and tips when you check out the Acton Retail Pop-Up space: a sustainable structure made by Maine-based OpBox from more than 14,000 plastic water bottles.

The Acton Summer Retail Pop-Up is open Thursday thru Sunday afternoons through August 21. Hours may vary, and include Sunday hours 10am – 2pm when shoppers are en route to the Acton Boxborough Farmers Market.

We hope to see you July 27 at the ‘Pop-Up’ Climate Café After Hours. Please bring a portable chair & water bottle. Hospitality with light refreshments and repellent will be provided by Acton Pop-Up businesses and friends, and by the Acton Climate Coalition.

The 3 Moms & a Pop-Up project was organized by Acton’s Economic Development Office in partnership with UpNext and the 495/Metrowest Partnership, with support from the Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce. The project is funded by the Massachusetts Office of Business Development’s REDO grant program.
