May 17, Acton-Boxborough baseball field: Pitcher Matthew Bromberg and his defense were able to contain their visitors’ bats for two innings Friday, but, in the third inning, the onslaught began. After the first batter was hit by a pitch, his teammate launched a changeup to the base of the fence for an RBI triple. Three singles tallied two more runs for the inning.

In the fourth, the Revs closed the gap to 1 when Anthony Sturniolo reached on an error, and both Bromberg and Jackson Healey singled, followed by a walk and another fielding error. A-B added their final run in the seventh when Jonathan Schick walked, advanced on a flyout, and was awarded home on a balk.

Lincoln-Sudbury pitcher Peter Abair scattered six A-B hits on the day, while enjoying the support of sixteen from his teammates, including three triples. The Warriors improved to 15-5-1, while the Revs dropped to 3-14, as of May 23. On May 20, they traveled to Lexington, and then hosted Concord-Carlisle on May 22.
