Revs outlast Patriots in Dual-County League tilt, 63-58

February 15, 2025

Feb. 5, Acton-Boxborough High School gym: An important boys basketball game with a league rival demanded the Revs’ best effort possible against Concord-Carlisle (C-C), and they delivered, treating the home crowd to a hard-fought win. Trailing by two at the half, AB built a five-point cushion after three quarters, but the Patriots weren’t going away. Game-high scorer Chris Soillis (24 points) kept C-C right on their host’s heels till the end. But A-B’s rebounding prowess led to some exciting fast-break baskets to seal the win.

AB’s scoring was led by junior guard Desmond Flumo with 19 points, and Brayden Flannery with 10. On Feb. 11, the Revs hosted 8-8 Xaverian Bros., and on Feb. 13 faced the 13-4 Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors. Next up will be the Jake ‘n Joes Tournament on Feb. 17 at Waltham H.S.

Correction: In a previous article, we misspelled the name of AB senior Chaz Yourk in a photo caption; we regret the error.

James Conboy played in the Acton Adult Softball League for seventeen years, and now plays in the EMASS Senior Softball League. He covers many sports games for the Acton Exchange.
