Santa (aka Richard Goodman) and Mrs. Claus (Pattie Hunt) will stop in at the Acton Woman’s Clubhouse before they take off on their holiday rounds! Bring the kids and grandkids for a visit on Saturday, November 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to 504 Main Street, Acton Center. Picture taking is encouraged. There is no charge, but donations are welcome.
At 93 years young, Mr. Goodman has been a Santa for over 30 years, including serving as Santa in China. During and after a career in aerospace, he donates his time with daughter Pattie to help raise money for various causes, such as foster care. Richard is a founding member of the “Fraternal Order of Real Bearded Santas” in Orange County, California, a professional 501(c)(7) fraternity for American men who perform as Santa Claus. Members of FORBS must grow and maintain their own facial hair for that purpose and agree to promote a positive image of Santa.
Having Santa at the Acton Woman’s Club this year is a part of their 110th anniversary celebration of the founding of the organization. www.theactonwomansclub.org
