The scarecrows are lined up and ready to greet the public at Cucurbit Farm, 32 Parker St. in Acton. It’s time to vote for your favorite at the “Stand Up to Stigma” Scarecrow Contest. The scarecrow faces pictured here are just a touch of the creativity on display at the event. There is still time to build your scarecrow or enter a carved Jack O’ Lantern in the Glow By event on the weekend before Halloween. There’s a corn maze too. Contest winners will be announced on November 1. Vote as many times as you like, $1 per vote. Proceeds benefit the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Central Middlesex and are shared with local mental health support organizations. The scarecrows will be on display for the month of October. Additional info at Scarecrow contest Vote! Vote! Vote!.
Lori Krinsky is NAMI Central Middlesex President.
